Climbing with Angus in Boulder Canyon This was a great day of mellow climbing – my first time in Boulder Canyon. The rusty old pipe is really an aquaduct – transporting water through some mountain to Boulder. It’s so old, there are many holes in it, and the water just squirts out comically all over the place. There are climbs on that particular rock face that begin right on the water pipe. It had begun to rain, so we didn’t climb there, bhut our previous climb was beautiful. You can see that the scenery is stunning.
Motorcycling with Baker on the Mount Evans Road The Mount Evans Road is, I believe, the highest paved road in America. Mount Evans is a Fourteener, or a mountain whose elevation exceeds 14,000 feet above sea level. We saw some very tame mountain goats – they don’t mind hanging out near people from my experience in any case. The ride was great. From Idaho Springs or Evergreen up to the summit of Mt. Evans, the temperature wil drop 20 or 30 degrees – a drastic difference, especially on a motorcycle!
