From the Gondola in Queenstown
Queenstown is about an hour’s drive from Wanaka. The group of us went up and rode the town gondola, where they have some activities like paragliding, bungee jumping, and the “luge.” It’s like an “alpine slide” but you can steer it and find different fast lines down the track. We raced each other, passing and crashing . Super fun. We walked around town, and then drove up to Wanaka.

And here’s one of the Snowpark, just down valley from Wanaka, where we’ll be riding. That photo was taken from space during a different season, when there was no snow around the park, possibly late-season. Now the whole place is covered with tons of snow.
