Well, there’s not that many photos to choose from here, only because I shot video footage instead today of the kids riding. We had a great time at this amazing world-class park. I overheard someone say there were about 500 people on the hill today – that’s a lot for Snowpark. Still the longest lift line was about ten minutes. Most of the riders and skiers on the hill seemed to be professional teams training and riding. The US Snowboard Team is here, among many other teams from around the world. The caliber of snowboarding and skiing to watch is incredible. Our group warmed up to the terrain and began to get professional level feedback and tips from the coaches. Tomorrow we’re getting up to ride halfpipe in the morning in a newly groomed pipe.
I’m working on editing the video footage into a few segments for this site. It takes some work – hopefully I’ll be able to post some clips tomorrow.
A beautiful morning looking out the picture window at the Wanaka house. he sun is just beginning to light the snowcapped mountains.
And this is the evening light just beginning to fade. The sun has just fallen behind the mountains behind the lake. We went to the skatepark and soccer field next as if we weren’t tired enough already.
